I think I've sorted it. I think Wikia is being a bit slow or something at the moment because I've seemingly updated them all, yet they still display the old pictures. Hopefully it should change properly in a few hours or so.
I have seen this bug 2 times now but wanted to conform it.
So everyone in the lobby has more that 1 k exp so ac is unlocked but during loading someone leaves or drops. No problem still everyone here has 1k + exp and the leaver also had 1k exp then we see tha ac is unavaliable. It says need 1k exp but we all have 1 k exp and the leaver had 1 k exp too so wtf?
It's been like this for ages as far as I'm aware. If someone drops while the game is loading, the game reads it as a player being there but at 0xp (probably due to not being able to read their bankfile as they aren't actually present at that time). Therefore, although everyone who survived the loading has over 1k xp, the game sees the dropped player as someone with 0 xp who left straight away which results in every campaign except ec being locked.
Find the NOTD chat channel on SC2. Many players can be found there. If there is an alpha company game or ec normal or higher game being advertised, ask to be invited. If not, you can try creating a new lobby (don't open to public) and advertise the lobby as whatever gamemode and difficulty you want to play. Invite those that wish to join.
Thanks for letting me know. NiteShade made the category page and added some images, as well as linking it to the navigation bar at the top but it seems like he hasn't got around to adding everything to it. When I get a chance, I'll add all of the actual boss articles to it.
Was up all night working on infesteds. Going to class now.
Anyways, if you get the chance today, update the sight range of every notd2 infested with unknown sight. They are ALL 6. Except the Hound/Seeker/Tesla, those are 10. Detection radius is already in there.
Also, a bunch of the support classes were missing attack speed values. It's 0.5 for anything thats not known.
Last issue, while you're poking around, apparently the hp regen value is unused in notd2. Enemies wont have any passive regen. I already took it out of the templates, but the syntax is still on every page. It's not actually doing anything, its inert code now. But it doesnt hurt to clean that up while you're poking around,
If you don't get around to this by the time I'm back later, consider this just a mental note and I'll do it myself.
Cheers for that Unknown soldiers. But damn, you beat me to it because I was in college at the time.
On a side note, if I'm not tasked with other wiki jobs, I plan to add the info on the NOTD 2 Medic either later today or this weekend although I am aware that discussion about it is still on going in the thread.
Alright, sorted out the Medic (NOTD 2) page. When I do these pages, I copy/paste the descriptions from their respective NOTD 1 page so you should probably review the descriptions in case they no longer make sense due to ability changes.
On a side note, Kith confirmed the Medic stats were the same as the NOTD 1 version.
As you hopefully notice, I just unveiled the product of about 3 days of work.
We now have a brand spanking new main page.
As for as editing purposes go this one is much more complex than the old one.
Template:HeadingA is the Red NOTD2 themed sections
Template:HeadingB is the Blue NOTD themed sections
Template:ContentNOTD2 is the top NOTD2 related categories
Template:ContentsNOTD is the lower NOTD and wiki related categories
Template:NewMainPage is where I threw this all together as a trial run.
The entire thing was edited for 1366x768 displays, and should scale up appropriately enough for larger resolutions. The goal is to make it look fine on a small display, but still good on a large one. If we make it look amazing on a large display, it'll be overlap city on a small one.
Looks great Nite, much better than the old main page. Everything appears to be displaying correctly on my screen (1366x768). Thanks for letting me know about the different templates. Few questions though:
2. The forum link in the community section of Template:ContentsNOTD links to Forum:Index. Are we planning on using that forum or should it be linked to the official forums?
3. How is the latest forum activity section on the main page supposed to work? It's blank underneath the section header so I'm confused as to whether that is meant to be or if something should appear there.
1: Unsure yet. We might delete them, or we could just repurpose them into something more appropriate. For now I'm leaving things alone since I'm unsure what stays and what goes.
2: Nope, forgot to change that link. I see no need for wiki forum, talk page comments work fine and theres no point dragging people away from the main forum.
3: I'm working with blaqk to see if I can get a widget there to display recent forum activity from notd.com. It should end up similar in appearance to the Twitter feed. If it doesnt end working I'll scrap that section.
i have seen what happened to my guide, all what i did is editing stuff in the about me section and it was fine when i previewed it then i chose minor edit and published (the publish took long time) and i closed then i noticed when you undoed the edit. I have no idea what is going on
I knew it probably wasn't your fault. But for the sake for readability, I had to undo it. Try to do the edit again. If it happens again, I'll undo it and we'll have to find alternative means to edit it.
